roofing alterations
We can expertly install velux windows, rooflights, flue vents and ventilation products.
- Velux windows can transform a roofspace from being a dark, inaccessible area into a really useful space. Likewise rooflights and sun pipes can let light in - and the weather out.
- Chimneys have changed purpose over the years, and are now often surplus to requirements. We can remove the protruding chimney, finishing the extended roof with flue terminals and cowls, or ridge vents as appropriate.
- Ventilation is another alteration we often make, both active ventilation from bathroom extractors and cooker hoods and passive ventilation of the roofspace to reduce condensation. Vents can be incorporated into existing tilework or slate courses, or ridge vents used for minimal visual impact. Vents can also be added to the soffits.
